2025 is a landmark year at the Heyde Center for the Arts. This beautifully renovated facility became fully operational in the year 2000. Happy SILVER Anniversary! And the organization that owns and manages the facility, the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association, was established as a non-profit arts association in 1975. Happy GOLDEN Anniversary! The Swampers are stepping up to tell the story of how a badly damaged 1907 high school building came to be saved from the wrecking ball by a group of dedicated volunteers and community supporters of the arts. It’s a long, strange journey with many twists and turns. The Swampers – Amanda Schafer, Judy Brist, Kathy Danielson, Jerry Way, Tim Danielson, Joe Danielson and Rob Kuchta – tell the tale about the creation of the Heyde Center for the Arts through narrations, songs, and projected photographs.
