What is Haflaween?
Imagine a vibrant fusion of bellydance and Halloween! In the bellydance world, a “hafla” is a joyous gathering where dancers and their community come together to celebrate the art of dance. Halloween, on the other hand, is a time to explore hidden facets of ourselves, indulge in obscure interests, honor traditions, or simply have fun dressing up.
Haflaween blends these two exciting elements into one spectacular event. Expect a plethora of performances, ranging from traditional bellydance to themed, nerdy, spooky, funny, and character-based acts. It’s a feast for the eyes and the soul!
But that’s not all! There will be open dance sessions where everyone—experienced dancers, beginners, and novices—can let loose and groove to fantastic music. Whether you come dressed to the nines or keep it casual, this event welcomes all styles.
Event Details:
- Doors Open: 12 PM (for dancers to prepare)
- Performances: 1 PM - 5 PM
- Admission: $10 per person (to cover basic operating costs)
