Chippewa Valley Cultural Association/Heyde Center for the Arts

Ticket Policy

The Chippewa Valley Cultural Association (CVCA) strives to support local artists and performers as well as bring in quality programs from outside the region. However the CVCA recognizes that it must keep ticket prices reasonable in order to ensure residents of the Chippewa Valley can actively and frequently enjoy the programming available. The following defines some of the ticketing policies currently in effect for the Heyde Center.

Online Orders

You can now order tickets for performances at the Heyde Center for the Arts through the CVCA website. The following is the process for ordering tickets online.

Step one: Select the performance and ticket level (e.g., senior, adult, student) you would like to attend and click “Add to Cart.”

Step two: When you are in the shopping cart, you will have the ability to change the quantity of tickets as needed. Your total will be shown at the bottom of the form. If you would like to purchase additional tickets for another performance or a different level of ticket, e.g., senior (62 years and older) or students (17 years and younger, unless otherwise stated), click “Continue Shopping.”

Step Three: When you are ready to complete your sale, click "Proceed to Checkout" you will be redirected to a secure online payment form hosted by PayPal. Your order total should be shown as the amount you will be charged. You can login with an existing PayPal account to make your payment, sign up for a new PayPal account, or provide credit card information and your credit card billing address to make your payment.

Once the payment is submitted we will process your ticket order. All tickets ordered online will be set aside in the advanced sales window of the CVCA box office on the day of the event. Please bring your payment receipt to the window on the day of the event to pick up your tickets. In most cases, the box office opens one hour prior to each performance. If you would like to pick up your tickets before the event, please bring your receipt to the office during normal office hours (Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm or Friday 10am to 4pm). If you would like your tickets sent through the mail, please call the CVCA office at (715)726-9000.

Ticket orders are generally filled in one to three business days, but please allow up to five business days for mail orders.  If you have questions or problems with an online order, please call the CVCA office at (715)726-9000 or send an email to cvca@cvca.net.

Telephone Orders

Telephone orders can be made by calling the CVCA office during normal office hours (Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm or Friday 10am to 4pm). Telephone ticket reservations are held with a credit card. The CVCA will not charge the credit card at that time, giving you the opportunity to pay with cash, check or credit card when picking up the tickets. However, ticket reservations not cancelled before the performance (either through a phone call/email message explaining the extraordinary circumstances for missing the performance) will be charged to the credit card.

Purchasing Tickets in Person

Tickets may be purchased at the CVCA office during normal business hours or at the door before the performance. In most cases, the box office will open one hour before the performance. Tickets can be paid for with cash, check (make checks payable to CVCA), Visa or MasterCard. In order to qualify for a bulk ticket discount, these tickets must be purchased at least one day in advance of the performance.

Refunds/Exchanges

Most ticket sales are refundable if returned to the office before at least one day before the performance. Tickets purchased but not used are not refundable after the performance date.

Group ticketing

With selected CVCA events, a discount will be given to individuals or groups purchasing tickets in bulk. Patrons purchasing 10 to 19 tickets in advance will receive a 10 percent discount. All the tickets must be purchased at the same time. Patrons purchasing 20 or more tickets in advance will receive a 20 percent discount. Group ticketing is based on ticket availability and some events will not be included.

Persons needing special arrangements

Patrons with special needs should notify the office in advance so that the Heyde Center can ensure their needs are met. Arrangements can be made for persons with disabilities (special seating, hearing devices, etc.) including a free ticket to assistants accompanying the person with special needs.

Student ticketing

The requirement for student tickets is that the student must be between the ages of six to eighteen years old at the time of purchase.

Child ticketing

Unless otherwise stated, children under five are admitted free unless the performance is sold out. In the case of a sold out show, a child without a paid ticket will have to sit on an adult’s lap.

Family ticketing

Some CVCA events have a special “family package” ticket that allows a family of four (combination of four people that consider themselves immediate family such as parents, children, grandchildren, grandparents, foster children, siblings, aunts/uncles, etc.). The intent is that the family package will encourage more students/youth attendance as well as more inter-generational opportunities for “families.”

The Heyde Center does not intend to define the term “family” for its patrons and relies on the integrity of the people purchasing family tickets to follow the proposed intent of the package. The purchase of tickets is important source of revenue to keep the Heyde Center for the Arts a gift for the community.

Senior ticketing

The requirement for senior tickets is that the person must be 62 years or older at the time of purchase.

Cancellations

Should a program be cancelled, ticket refunds or exchanges will be given only if no suitable substitute has been provided.
