60th Annual Chippewa Herald Spring Art Show

Welcome to the annual community Spring Art Show hosted by the Heyde Center for the Arts and The Chippewa Herald. This year over 60 artists will be displaying one to three pieces of their artwork in this building-wide show. The exhibit includes original paintings, sculptures, photography, stained glass, mosaics, ceramics and other creative art forms from artists throughout the Chippewa Valley.
The Opening Reception will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
A panel discussion about "How to Price Your Artwork" will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and feature insights from three distinct perspectives on art pricing for this area. The three panelists are:
David Caradori is an accomplished artist who has owned and managed Caradori Pottery (and art gallery) for approximately 38 years - making his business the second oldest continuously running pottery shop in Wisconsin.
Dan Ingersoll is a talented artist and a teacher at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. Dan has left an indelible mark on Eau Claire’s artistic landscape. Most recently in 2020, his sculpture, “Ingrain,” was selected as the People’s Choice Winner of the Eau Claire Sculpture Tour.
Kay Hostvet-Brathol is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Studio Arts. Her works are represented in four art galleries around Wisconsin as well as in corporate and private collections throughout the Midwest.
Show Awards will be given out at 2:30 p.m.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Weekend hours are 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 7; Saturday, April 13; and Sunday, April 14. The exhibit closes at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
